Choosing the “right” spot in Budapest - The “best” districts, hotels and accomodation
One difficulty as a visitor in a new town is choosing the right area and hotels to stay at during the visit. Of course “right” depends on who you are and what you want to do. To help you choose the “right” location (Budapest district) for your stay we will guide you through the most interesting districts in the heart of Budapest. By “right” and “best” we mean close to shopping, sights, nightlife, restaurants etc.
Buda and Pest
Budapest is divided by the Danube into Buda and Pest. Pest (to the right) is the economic and cultural heart of the town where most of the interesting stuff are located. On the Budaside (left) you have the Castle Hill, Gellert bath and all the Turkish baths of Budapest. If you stay at a hotel near the Danube on the Budaside (district 1) this is also a good base for exploring the city.
